Communicating with the school

All parents have access to their child's information and progress data through the school information system, Arbor. 

Through Arbor, parents and carers have access to the same, current information about achievement, behaviour and attendance that teachers, students and governors have. Whether you look at it every day or every term, you can find information about your child's life at school very easily. 

We also use Arbor to communicate with parents. You can also communicate with us and keep the information we hold about you up to date. 

There are training modules added to Arbor all the time to teach you how to use it. We will be running drop-in sessions at school to help you get to grips with it, check the weekly newsletter for details of these.

Google Apps for Education

All students and teachers use Google Apps for Education, a free collaborative service that allows us to work together to create, research and record. If you would like to be able to see your child's work, you can with a Google account. 

Cashless Catering

Please pay for school meals by transferring £13.75 a week to Hackney New School. Email finance@hackneynewschool.org for account details or ask in school.
