Nonetheless, a close cooperation with the Hackney Learning Trust / the Local Authority is always desirable to ensure appropriate coordination of certain elements of education provision.
Will I have to pay to get my child in?
No. Hackney New School will be a state funded school with academy status.
Will the school be selective?
No. HNS will have similar over-subscription criteria to other Hackney schools, and 10 places per year for children with outstanding musical aptitude. HNS is open to and designed for all.
