HNS Parents’ Association
Parents’ Association International Evening.
Communicating with the school
All parents have access to their child’s information and progress data through the school information system, Arbor.
Through Arbor, parents and carers have access to the same, current information about achievement, behaviour and attendance that teachers, students and governors have. Whether you look at it every day or every term, you can find information about your child’s life at school very easily.
We also use Arbor to communicate with parents. You can also communicate with us and keep the information we hold about you up to date.
There are training modules added to Arbor all the time to teach you how to use it. We will be running drop-in sessions at school to help you get to grips with it, check the weekly newsletter for details of these.
Arbor Username: We will have sent to you by email. If you do not have an email address, please set one up using Google Mail here.
Arbor Password: Also sent to you by email. If you have forgotten your password please click on the ‘Forgotten your password?’ link or similarly, email the school at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Google Apps for Education
All students and teachers use Google Apps for Education, a free collaborative service that allows us to work together to create, research and record. If you would like to be able to see your child’s work, you can with a Google account.
Please pay for school meals by transferring £14 a week to Hackney New School using Schoolmoney.co.uk. Contact the school for more information.
